Municipal
Limerick Twp. Building
The project was a new construction building with a large garage area to house and perform
minor repair on the township vehicles as well as administrative offices. MEI provided the
design for a new electrical service, interior lighting design, fire alarm and miscellaneous power
connections. The building was also designed with an emergency generator system to provide
back up power for the entire building.

Limerick Fire Co.
The project consisted the construction of a new fire house located within the footprint of the
existing fire house. The new building contained an apparatus bay for the emergency vehicles,
radio room, community room, miscellaneous office and sleeping areas for personnel. MEI
prepared the electrical design documents for a new electrical service for the building, interior
and exterior lighting plans and the design for the connection of powered equipment. The
owner requested the use of an existing generator to be reused with the project. The electrical
characteristics of the generator did not match the new service characteristics. MEI coordinated
with the generator manufacturer to provide a workable solution to integrate the generator into
the distribution system using transformers to match the electrical characteristics of the system.
